Where they came from, nobody can say for sure, though the Great Wizard Gudgrief has his suspicions... The Wizard has identified two species, the Giant Rat and the even larger Great Rat.  Sightings have been seen.  Glimpses of rats more terrible still, great Rat Lords who hold dominion over their rodent brethren and form a counterpoint to the guiding hand of the Baron and High Wizard.
